Customized Nutrition & Testing Nutrient Levels
We have two different testing options available to clients: The first option is through Spectracell Labs (www.spectracell.com) and the second one is through Custom Essentials.
From Spectracell Labs (option 1) you are tested at the Cellular Level for Vitamin, Mineral, Lipids, cardiovascular and antioxidant levels. This is usually covered under your health insurance. You come into our office and blood is drawn and submitted to the lab on your behalf. A report is issued in about 10 days time to the practitioner who will go over it with you and make recommendations based on the findings.
With Custom Essentials (option 2) you order a particular test, then after receiving it follow all instructions, send back to the lab and in about a week you will receive a lab report describing the three different biomarkers that are key to good nutrition. The company will then make up a customized supplement tailored to what was found in the report. This is optional and you don't have to order this, but the benefits of capsules made especially for you are unique. Custom Supplements may be the wave of the future. Eliminate the guesswork.
Option 1:
Spectracell Labs provides the Ultimate in Cellular Nutritional Testing
If you are looking for what I believe is the most powerful means of examining your cellular nutrition, we offer nutritional testing through Spectracell Labs. This requires coming in for a blood test and choosing from a panel of nutritional tests, including all vitamins and a lipid panel. These programs are typically covered under your insurance plans and can range from $89-$350, depending on the tests being ordered. If you would like a brochure, please email us (contact page) or call us and ask for the FIAA Spectracell brochure. Don't forget to leave your mailing address. For more information on these tests, which are covered by Medicare and most health insurance plans, go to their website www.spectracell.com.
By the way, in a Townsend Letter article in June 2009 by Stephen Sinatra, MD, FACC, FACN he states "The standard lipid tests that most doctors order for you really belong to the age of the dinosaurs. They tell you the level of your total cholesterol, LDL and HDL. In July of last year I wrote about the first of a new generation of tests called the VAP (vertical auto profile) test that breaks cholesterol down into fractions, appearances, and patterns, giving a much more accurate picture of what may or may not be a problem. Now a second test has emerged that appears to be a notch better, the Lipoprotein Particle Profile (LPP) test offered by SpectraCell Laboratories in Houston."
Try it for yourself. . . you'll want to know your nutrient levels.
Option 2:
Choose from one of the tests below that you are interested in. Then contact us and you we will purchase the test for you via credit card and it will be delivered to your address in a few days time. Follow the instructions by providing a urine sample, then send to the lab for processing. The report will come to you at which time you can arrange for a consultation based on the findings with us or another nutritionist who is involved with this program. I don't make any money on ordering the test(s) for you. A good nutritionist is Cheryl Caruso in New York. You can google her. Alternatively, you can call Ideal Health and purchase your custom supplements yourself. Remember, these are based on your unique metabolic profile. Metabolic testing and customized supplements are no longer luxeries for the rich but a necessity for anyone who wants to become and remain healthy. The 1998 Nobel Prize in medicine was awarded for research in nitric oxide regulation and its impact on metabolic functions in the immune, nervous and circulatory systems. Only when you keep these systems in balance can you maintain good health.
So how do you know what your nutrient levels are? By scientific testing through laboratory analysis; this is considered the best method. Lab analysis of an overnight urine sample can examine key biochemical pathways and determine if you have the nutritional support you need.
Following are the tests Natural Health Solutions now offers. Call for changes or special discount pricing Custom Essentials sometimes offers. For more information, visit www.idealhealth.com.
Priva test
- One-size-fits all products cannot possibly provide you with optimal nutrition because they are created for a hypothetical average person. No such person exists. Custom Essentials is a true breakthrough in cutting-edge nutritional science. It is the first and best customized multivitamin that uniquely targets your body’s needs based on the results of a revolutionary metabolic test, called the PRIVA TEST. The Priva Test determines cellular function by measuring markers in three critical areas of metabolism; urinary sulfates (marker for liver detoxification), urinary lipid peroxides (marker for antioxidant status), and urinary nitrates (marker for immune system, nervous system and circulatory system). A full report is produced showing your results for these three markers. The multi-vitamin/mineral/antioxidant formula is created for you based on how your results fare against these markers. Research has shown that poor or altered function in these areas may be a root cause of many health challenges. This test is $49.95.
Fit test
- Based on the results of the FitTest, each person receives an accelerator plus an eating plan designed to result in optimal weight management or weight loss. This test can show the early warning signs for diseases like diabetes and heart disease before they are full-blown by measuring the microalbumin in the urine. The cost of this test is $99.75. To further customize your nutritional needs, the following tests are also available:
Aller test
- For those who have dark eye circles, occasional digestive problems, heartburn, constipation, blood sugar fluctuations, sinus and respiratory problems and fatigue after eating. You may be allergic to everyday foods that you are not aware of, which this test would help to identify. The cost of this test is $99.99.
Estrogena test
- This is for women to evaluate one of the major risk factors for breast cancer, estrogen imbalances. So this is an important test for all women! It is purported to be able to prevent this risk factor with 100% efficiency or efficacy. The cost of this test is $110.00.
Osteo test
- For those who are thin, small framed, have a sedentary occupation or get inadequate exercise, have poor dietary habits, drink caffeinated beverages, alcohol or smoke, take antacids or ulcer medications regularly, or have a family history of osteoporosis. The cost of this test is $79.99.
Stress test
- For those in overall poor health, overworked, overweight, this test could uncover poor adrenal function. Even if you’e eating the right foods in the right amounts for weight loss, stress can keep you from losing weight by affecting your adrenal system in ways that signal your body to hold on to every calorie. The cost of this test is $79.99.
Serotonin Plus for weight loss
- This unique formulation contains a small amount of preformed serotonin, which researchers believe reacts with the serotonin receptors found in the gastrointestinal tract, helping to promote a "satisfied feeling."
